CAA Alumni Awards

Many of us know very successful and accomplished Cal graduates. Among these graduates are those who have towering achievements in their fields, in their lives, and in how they impact the world around them. Let's honor them for their wonderful, distinguished contributions to our campus, our state, our nation, and our world!

Nominate someone today to receive one of the below top alumni honors by completing the appropriate Awards Nominations form.

In the Achievement Category and presented each spring by CAA at Charter Gala:

  • Alumnus/a of the Year Award
  • Mark Bingham Award for Achievement by a Young Alumnus/a
  • Excellence in Achievement Award

    In the Campus Service Category and presented at an appropriate CAA alumni event in 2009:
  • Excellence in Service Award
  • Bradford S. King Award for Service by a Young Alumnus/a

    All nominees must have graduated from UC Berkeley. Nominees for the Mark Bingham Award and the Bradford S. King Award must have graduated 15 years or less at the time of the nomination.

    The filing period for 2009 awards is February 1, 2008 to May 31, 2008. All nominations are due May 31, 2008.

    THE 2009 AWARDS CALL FOR NOMINATIONS WILL BEGIN ON FEBRUARY 1, 2008.

    For the last half century, the California Alumni Association has honored alumni from all graduating classes with accomplishments in all fields of endeavor. Those whom we honor are benefactors of our great public trust, the University of California, and help to carry its distinction into the future. You are partners is this trust, assisting us in furthering a tradition of self-sacrifice and noble achievement. Please nominate the outstanding alumni that you know, and then join us in celebrating them at the annual Charter Gala in San Francisco. Together, we all reflect and enhance the stature of the world's greatest public university. Fiat Lux!
