Resume: Dana Taylor

I am interested in networking with individuals who have experience working with:

  • Project & Program Management
  • Educational Administration
  • Training & Development
  • Contract Compliance
  • Community Relations
My Background:
  • Business Area Director
  • Alameda County Human Relations Commissioner
  • Counseling Supervisor
  • Program Coordinator
  • Education Director
My Greatest Asset is ...
The ability to carefully assess issues and problems then develop a resolution that is acceptable for all parties. Managing people and programs perhaps can be taught; however comfortably interacting with diverse human dynamics is one of my greatest assets.

My Last Position was ...
The Business Area Director managing the job development & training program for ResCare Inc. in a partnership with the Department of Labor. The position was a creative and challenging career advancement. The job afforded me the opportunity to manage the business trades, supervise the professional team teaching the skills while collaborating with companies to develop employment opportunities for clients.

I Work Best when ...
There are concrete goals and expectations to be reached in a fast paced and compliance driven setting. I am most successful when the daily tasks are not repetitive whereas every day is different and unique presenting a professional growth experience for me. Be it solo or a group projects, I am a high functioning professional task manager. I also work best in environments where professional ethics is present, there is value on humanity and communication.

My Dream Job Would Be ...
A position with the potential to provide program leadership, direction and support through administration and collaboration within a human service, educational institution and/or corporate foundation. It would offer me the chance to employ ten years of experience in program development, implementation and management. Working with a diverse & versatile team that is detail oriented, respects professional integrity and is committed to success would be a definite plus. My colleagues would be task oriented, motivated and energetic to achieve the company's goal. There would also be opportunity to network, conduct trainings and venture more into fund development.

My Next Step is ...
To continue networking until the near or almost perfect career opportunity presents itself! Become acclimated & successful in that position and eventually apply to graduate school for my PhD. While I am passionate about program development, implementation and management, I believe that enlightening, motivating and encouraging students will keep my own mind alert as I mature towards retirement.

I welcome any suggestions, leads, opportunities, or information that could be helpful in my job search. Feel free to contact me at: danetay@yahoo.com

Thank you,

Dana S. Taylor
