My Background:

long-term expat (15 years in Japan, now back in SF)
erstwhile ghostwriter and editor of books on international economics
author of three cookbooks

My Greatest Asset is ... Not being afraid of mistakes! It's really the only way to learn. I also read widely and unprogrammatically, have traveled fairly extensively throughout the world, and don't conflate cynicism with intelligence, let alone wisdom.

My Last Position was ... Editor and commentator, Cabinet Office, government of Japan.

I Work Best when ... everyone around me is not only in sync with the big picture; they're also in love with what they do, and can't imagine doing anything else.

My Dream Job Would Be ... Consulting with food companies and restaurants on how to improve what they do.
