I am interested in networking with individuals who have experience working with: - Biotech/Pharmaceutical
- Neuroscience Research
- Clinical Psychology Research
- Psychopharmacology Research
- Brain Imaging Research
My Background:- Volunteered as a research assistant for the Berkeley Olfaction Research Program
- Worked as a computer technician for a small computer service center
- Worked as an library assistant for UC Berkeley
My Greatest Asset my versatility.I am equally good at analyzing a theory and seeing patterns in data as I am at communicating with my co-workers in a considerate and clear way. When I’m analyzing experimental data I become engrossed, ensuring that the highest signal-to-noise ratio is achieved. When I’m communicating with my co-workers and superiors, I do my best to see from their perspective so I don’t miss anything that they are trying to explain or express.
My Last Position volunteering as a research assistant. I helped a graduate researcher at UC Berkeley with an experiment on the sense of smell. I knew that this was a field that I was made for when I was cleaning up some data. I remember looking at the clock after what seemed like a second of work to find that three hours had passed. Other than this personal epiphany, I gained experience working with statistical software and running experiments using human subjects.
I Work Best when I am given set deadlines and clearly defined goals. An organized environment with friendly people is also conducive to work performance for me. I prefer to work alone on a project with periodic collaboration on a team of equals.
My Dream Job Would Beconducting an original study on the neurological basis for Bipolar Disorder. I would like to work with a team of researchers that would be as dedicated as I am to discovering the true cause for this mental illness.
My Next Step is to work as a research assistant under a post-doctorate or graduate researcher. After gaining enouch practical experience in psychology research I would like to return to school for a graduate degree in Neuroscience.
I welcome any suggestions, leads, opportunities, or information that could be helpful in my job search. Feel free to contact me at: scottdaniel25@gmail.com. Thank you for your time.
Best wishes,
