- CAA members receive a $20 discount off individual courses of their choice; $165 per course (regularly $185 per course).

The Mission: The primary mission of Horizon Studies is to provide stimulating courses for women and men interested in lifelong learning opportunities. Horizon courses pique the curiosity, exercise the mind, and perhaps even help to awaken the spirit.
Horizon Directors: Bruce Elliott, received his Ph.D. from U.C. Berkeley. He teaches courses in European History at Cal, and Stanford Continuing Studies. Dr. Elliott has a particular interest in the interplay of history and artistic expression in early modern Europe.
Bill Garrett is a Professor of Philosophy and Religion at JFK University. He has for the past 30 years taught courses on the history of ideas, including courses in religion, culture, and literature.
