In the few years since BCAIA formed, the club has excelled in networking, advocacy, mentorship and leadership development.  Many of BCAIA’s activities facilitate academic, cultural and business ties between students, alumni and business professionals, and between UC Berkeley and Greater China.   Annual dinners and club events are opportunities for significant interaction with business and government leaders from Silicon Valley, Beijing and Shanghai.  The club fosters face to face mentorship, career development and cross-generational learning.  
One of their favorite activities is organizing welcome receptions for incoming students.  The club tells students about the great Cal traditions, Cal leadership in technology, innovation and business, and the pride that Cal students/alumni have in serving and giving back to the community.  “This is also a way for us to show that “WE CARE” as a Berkeley community and to inspire more students to give back when they graduate.”

BCAIA Personal Statement
We are truly honored to receive the Outstanding Club of the Year Award.   The award has affirmed BCAIA’s belief that giving back and making a difference in our community is the right thing to do.  One of our key missions is to provide mentorship to students and alumni and to ensure that each generation of Berkeley graduates will be better than the former.  We are proud of our education at Berkeley and it is Berkeley that ties all of us together as a family.
