Imagine a string of blue and gold tents on Upper Sproul Plaza reaching from Telegraph Avenue to Wheeler Hall, sprinkled with music and dance performances, great food, and Cal excitement. CAA members should stop by the CAA tent near Sather Gate for their FREE giveaway item.

Students tents will be selling food as a fundraiser while the alumni tents will be gathering places for reunions. Take a stroll through the Avenue on your way to the Cal game. Our goal is for 1868 Cal Ave to blossom into a rich tradition that students and alumni alike look forward to every year at Homecoming.

Caltography

11am - 2pm | Monday, October 8th - Saturday, October 13th | Multi-Cultural Center (Heller Lounge), MLK Student Union & on 1868 Cal Ave on Saturday

Caltography is a union of the latin roots California, meaning “most awesome school in all the land,” photo meaning “light,” and graph meaning “written.” Much like photography means “written in light,” Caltography means “the most awesome school in all the land, written in light.” The Caltography photo contest is an opportunity for Cal students and alumni to show school spirit in a more non-traditional way.

Alumni photographers from all experience levels are encouraged to submit works for the opportunity to win cash prizes, and to show their Cal pride. Pictures can be enormously expressive pieces of art. Take some time to be creative, take risks, and show Cal students, faculty, parents, and alumni how Cal speaks to you.

Sushi Social

6-8 pm | Thursday, October 11th | Alumni House

The Californians (Senior Class Council) and the Student Homecoming Team would like to invite you to participate in an alumni-student networking event with FREE SUSHI!

Students say: “Last year, I was able to meet and create a lot of great connections with the alumni. They were able to share some valuable insights into the working world and how it differs from school. They really opened my eyes and dispelled many myths about the workplace,” states one of the attendees.

This is a casual networking event where we bring students and alumni together to meet each other and share their stories and expertise. We sincerely hope you can join us and bring your fellow alumni friends with you. RSVP here!

Homecoming Colloquium

Listen to Kapp and Starkey talk about "The Play," how it affected college football, Cal Spirit, and the rivalry with Stanford in honor of the 25th anniversary of the play - consistently ranked as the number one play in college football history!
