    SCHOLAR RESPONSIBILITITES

The Achievement Award is renewable each year provided that the scholar remains eligible for financial aid, meets the minimum guidelines for "satisfactory progress" as required by the Office of Financial Aid, and actively participates in the Achievement Award program as outlined in the Achievement Award Program Annual Student/CAA Mutual Agreement. The award amount may change each semester depending on financial need. Incoming freshmen may receive the award for a total of eight semesters and incoming junior transfers for four semesters. These semesters do not need to be in succession.

    From the scholar's perspective:

We are the 97 members strong. We were selected for the Achievement Award because of our ability to provide a diverse perspective on campus, our high achievements despite adversity and our passion for giving back to the TAAP coumminty of scholars and the community at large.

Four areas we focus on include:

    • Leadership
    • Community Service
    • Donor Relations
    • Social Activities

    TAAP LEADERSHIP COMMITTEE

TAAP Leadership Council (TLC) is designed to give students the chance to further develop their leadership skills by working together to create outreach opportunities, community service events, social outings/events, and assist in planning and facilitating TAAP meetings. TLC is run by students and for students. All Achievement Award scholars have the opportunity to contribute to the TLC activities and improve your skills in outreach, marketing, donor relations, event planning, and community relations. TLC is a safe place to voice your opinions and make TAAP everything you want it to be.
