Giving Opportunities

There are several ways to support the Achievement Award Program. Listed below are a few ways you can impact a Cal student:

Make a gift to the Achievement Award Annual Fund! A gift of any size will make a difference.

$50buys a textbook (some science textbooks are over $100 each!)
$75pays for a student’s lab fees for one semester
$300covers one student’s weekly room and board in a double occupancy dorm room
$550buys books and supplies for one semester
$1,200allows student leaders to participate in life-skills workshops, academic conferences, cultural events, and professional development seminars


Sponsor an Achievement Award Scholar during their two or four year tenure at Cal!
$16,000—-provides a junior transfer with all financial and program support for two years
$32,000—-provides a freshman with all financial and program support for four years

Establish a named endowment!
$50,000—-minimum to establish a named scholarship endowment. Honor your friends or family with an endowment in their name.

$200,000—-provides all program services and financial aid for one Achievement Award Scholar every year in perpetuity.
