Overview of scholar responsibilities for The Achievement Award Program

The Achievement Award Program scholarship is renewable each year provided that scholars:

These requirements are fully described in the The Achievement Award Program Annual Student/CAA Mutual Agreement (.pdf).

Community service and outreach

Every semester, scholars must complete at least 10 hours of community service and outreach. Scholars must verify service hours by completing a Community Service and Outreach Form (.pdf) that is due by the last scholar meeting of each semester.

Scholars at the Fall Retreat 2008.

Community service and outreach hours can be fulfilled by participating in The Achievement Award Program Leadership Committee (TLC), student groups (e.g. Trenza), non-profits (e.g. The American Red Cross), religious groups or community organizations (e.g.Habitat for Humanity)—the sky's the limit.

When in doubt, consult the Program Manager with any questions.

  • California Volunteers
Search by area of interest or geographic area for service opportunities in your hometown or locations outside the Bay Area.

Progress towards Graduation

To remain eligible for the Achievement Award Program, scholars must demonstrate progress towards graduation by
