Students: Cal Alumni Groups around the nation would like to welcome you to the Cal campus. We welcome you and your family to attend a summer welcome reception in your area to meet other admitted students and parents, as well as connect with Cal alums who have "been through it before". Please look at the receptions below to see which one best fits your schedule - some of them require an RSVP, while some you can just show up! *CAA Chartered Alumni Groups: CAA encourages you to host a welcome reception for new UC Berkeley students! Please contact Celeste Colbert Stanley at celeste.stanley@alumni.berkeley.edu or 510-643-1891 if you would like to host a reception. *Only groups officially chartered by the California Alumni Association are allowed to host receptions. Receptions: Tri-Valley Counties (Pleasanton, Dublin, San Ramon) When: Sunday, July 26, 4:00 PM Where: Highland Oaks Recreation Center, 4530 Sandalwood Drive, Pleasanton, CA Cost: $15 for adults, includes BBQ dinner and 2 drink tickets. $5 for children 12 & under, includes BBQ & 1 drink ticket. Long Beach Area Hosted by the Long Beach Alumni Chapter When: Sunday July 26, 1-3 PM Where: East end of Colorado Lagoon E Colorado St & Orlena Ave, Long Beach 90814 A Blue and Gold "classic" Thunderbird will mark the picnic spot! Cost: Free for students, alumni anything you can bring to share is greatly appreciated (finger food, beverage or dessert).
