The California Alumni Association's programs & services are dependent on our thousands of loyal volunteers. CAA offers several different opportunities for you to help volunteer.
Help Select Scholarship Recipients - With over 850 awards distributed each year, we invite UC Berkeley alumni to support the selection of exceptional candidates for our scholarships. From marketing and outreach to application readings and candidate interviews, alumni are integral to the successful selection of our scholarship recipients.
Mentor a Cal Student! - Build a personal connection with a current Cal student and share your experiences online with the Student Alumni Mentorship Program.
Bear Connections - Provide career networking opportunities to Cal alumni and students in informational interviews and/or as a participant in career-related events.
Student Outreach Program - Ensuring Cal's tradition of excellence and diversity by reaching out to high school and community college students in your community.
Alumni Groups - Participate in the social, volunteer and community activities of the regional, cultural or special interest group or your choice.
Serve as a legislative advocate for the University - Sign up to be a "Cal Advocate" and voice your support for the University to the California Legislature. It only takes a minute to sign up and participate in letter-writing campaign 6-10 times per year.
Host an I-House Student - The International House sponsors the International Friendship Program where local families and individuals can invite I-House's international students and scholars into their homes for a meal or a holiday or perhaps an excursion to help them explore California. For information, send e-mail to ihprogra@uclink4.berkeley.edu or call (510) 642-9460.
