Erika Boyd ‘02, who replaces Christopher Escobedo, first connected with CAA as an undergraduate, when she was named an Alumni Scholar. Along with the financial support, she got an opportunity to attend Charter Gala. “And I was amazed at it all, at how many people were there,” she recalled, “at how impressive the honorees were, and what a big family it is!”
Boyd majored in sociology then studied law at the University of San Diego. She interned in Sacramento, and served as assistant instructor at the UC Center there. Now she works as a contract attorney for Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein of San Francisco.
But the accomplishment that makes her beam? Achieving a modern dance minor at Cal. She frequented Zellerbach as an undergrad, and still attends the occasional performance, as well as Bears football games. For her part, she hopes to help advance Cal’s fundraising efforts to new levels.
