For 10 years running, Alison Mark ‘85 took the kids on Lair vacations to Camp Blue Week 6. One year she joined the staff at the end of summer Special Interest Week, preparing and serving meals, cleaning tents, and entertaining guests. “When the students go back to school in August, the Lair needs some help running things,” she said.

Mark, who majored in marketing and finance as a Haas undergraduate and has an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, has continued to find ways to support Cal—reviewing applications for CAA’s scholarship programs, supporting Cal on the Peninsula, and attending football games with her fervent Cal fans, a son 17 and daughter 18. Currently, she serves as a senior manager to Cisco Systems. Her goal is to strengthen connections between the University and alumni with a focus on technology innovation and the Silicon Valley region. “And,” she said, “the University and high tech are a great combination.”
