Aaron Mendelson graduated from Cal in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts in French Civilization and received his MBA from the Haas School of Business in 2002. Aaron works at Credit Suisse where he is a Director within the firm’s Private Bank, focusing on the people, companies, and investing funds of the venture capital community.
Since 2006, Aaron has served on the Board and is the Past Board President of Dolores Street Community Services, a neighborhood-based non-profit providing shelters, SRO housing, and advocacy for the working poor and near-homeless in and around San Francisco’s Mission District.
At Cal, Aaron has mentored numerous students through the Berkeley Career Center’s Externship Program since 2006 and was Chair of the Center’s “Evening of the Extern” fundraising event with Professor Robert Reich in 2010.
Through the Haas Alumni Network, Aaron has served on the San Francisco Chapter Board since 2005, organizing numerous networking and fundraising events including the Taste of Haas from 2007–2009.
Within CAA, Aaron has been a long-time supporter of the Leadership Award, endowing a named-scholarship in 1998, and has served as a District Chair for incoming Cal students applying to the Award since 2006.
Aaron has lived and worked in San Francisco since 1991. In his spare time, Aaron enjoys reading about world history, traveling, trail running, photography and the occasional trip to Napa.
