Thanks to Bruce for his comments: I saw all three of the USC games (before, in the words of the Wall Street Journal, Cal’s Baseball “Resurrection”) and one of the Oregon games post resurrection. There was a huge difference, though the crowds were about the same size. At the Oregon game there were games for kids, recognition of visiting youth baseball and softball teams, and a lot of things one normally sees at a minor league game. This is great! Perhaps the Business School could create a major in sports management to keep the momentum going. If Cal Baseball keeps this up it will soon be as well recognized as football and basketball. I am very impressed.
