CAA welcomes the third cohort of Equity Scholars to campus:

Shalin Craig
Canoga Park
Daisy Esparza
Costa Mesa
Rafael Soto
La Puente
Allison Wallace
Placerville
Alexis Williams
Apple Valley

The five new students bring the number of Equity scholars at Cal up to twenty. Each student receives a scholarship of $5,000 per academic year for up to four years.

Now in its third year of awarding The Equity Scholarship, CAA hopes to:

  • Increase the number of underrepresented minority students who attend the University.
  • Provide scholarships for qualified California students with a family income of $40,000 to $99,000.*
  • Close the financial gap for exceptional underrepresented minority students who decide to attend Cal.
  • Promote equity and inclusion on the Cal campus.

CAA’s undraising goal is to raise a $10 million endowment and provide ongoing support for students who qualify for The Equity Scholarship.

The need for alumni support is greater than ever. Help make a difference today for Cal students!
