The New Alumni Challenge, which has been a resounding success, is back for a fourth year! Don't miss your chance to double your impact and join the next generation of alumni who are committed to keeping Cal the number 1 public university in the world.
The challenge is open to all undergraduate and graduate alumni from the Classes of 2008 through 2012, plus all students who will graduate in the 2012 – 2013 academic year. Your gifts (up to $1,000 per donor) to any school, college, or program at UC Berkeley will be doubled. That means a gift of $50 will equal $100 for Cal, while $1,000 will increase to $2,000. Even small contributions will go a long way!
The New Alumni Challenge recently ended its third campaign and raised more than $715,581 campus-wide from 5,209 young alumni. Please help us make this year's challenge an even bigger success. You may direct your gift to any program and / or fund across the campus. However you choose to support Cal, your contributions will also count toward The Campaign for Berkeley, a landmark fundraising effort to sustain Cal's excellence for future generations.
All alums — undergraduate and graduate — from the Classes of 2008 through 2012, plus all current undergraduate and graduate students who graduate in the 2012 – 2013 academic year are eligible.
Gifts made after July 1, 2012, (up to $1,000 per donor) to any UC Berkeley school, college, or program. Donors who make a gift of $500 or more to The CAA Fund become members of The CAA Fund Society and the Charter Hill Society.
Because the $1,000 limit is per-donor, not per-gift, you can make as many gifts as you like. Amounts above the $1,000 donor cap will not be eligible for the matching funds.
The challenge will continue through June 30, 2013 or as long as matching funds are available.
Gifts from alums from the Classes of 2008 through 2012, plus all current undergraduate and graduate students who graduate in the 2012 – 2013 academic year are eligible. Gifts from alumni who graduated in 2007 no longer qualify for the challenge match, but we hope you will still continue to support your alma mater!
