Class notes submissions should be sent to your Class Secretary. Contact information for your Class Secretary can be obtained by emailing the magazine at email@example.com or by calling 510.642.5781.
Class Secretaries, please send your submissions to firstname.lastname@example.org with your class year in the subject line. You can also fax them to 510.642.6252 or mail a hard copy to Class Notes, California magazine, 1 Alumni House, Berkeley, CA 94720-7520. Include your graduation date. Please read the writing guidelines below.
Each class is limited to a maximum of 250 words. Names of class members should be in bold. News that is less than six months old will get priority over older updates, as will news about alumni. Please do not include notes about alumni outside of your class. Also, do not include extended anecdotes about non-alumni spouses or children and grandchildren. Death notices should be submitted separately to the magazine to run in the “In Memoriam” section. We will run brief mentions of upcoming reunions in your class notes section as space permits. However, reunion information should be submitted separately for the “Class Reunions” section and will be edited and reformatted to fit the standard layout for that section.
Please note that Class Notes submissions, like all copy in the magazine, will be edited for length and clarity, and they may be posted on the Cal Alumni Association website.
