About us

Alumni Scholarships

We distribute nearly $2 million in undergraduate scholarships and awards to more than 800 students each year. With a network of 4,000 alumni nationwide handling selections, Alumni Scholarships are the largest programs of its kind in the country.

The Leadership Award

The Leadership Award is a one-year merit-based scholarship that recognizes students who provide outstanding, innovative, and motivational leadership contributions in their academic, work, or community environments. Students compete for the scholarship every academic year. More

The Achievement Award Program (TAAP)

TAAP supports access to Cal for high-achieving students who volunteer in the community and have significant financial need. TAAP is a four-year scholarship program for incoming freshman and two-year scholarship program for junior transfer students. More

The Leadership Award

The application deadline has passed. Students will know the status of their scholarship by August 15, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. Interviews will be conducted on September 14 and September 20 for Leadership Award finalists.

The Achievement Award Program (TAAP)

TAAP is a four-year scholarship program for incoming freshman and a two-year scholarship program for junior transfer students. Only incoming Cal students can apply.

Alumni Scholars Association (ASA)

Recipients of an alumni scholarship can join the Alumni Scholars Association—a Cal student group sponsored by CAA. ASA offers opportunities to further develop leadership experiences, network with Cal alumni, and foster relationships among alumni scholars.  More

Volunteers

Sep 14 and Sep 20

Interview the 2008 Leadership Award applicants. You will have the opportunity to interview Cal sophomore, junior, senior, and 5th year applicants. Connect with Bay Area Cal alumni and learn about the amazing projects led by Cal students. Register

Cal alumni

Alumni Scholarships are possible through the generous support of our Cal alumni. From marketing and outreach to application readings and candidate interviews, alumni are integral to the successful selection of our scholarship recipients.
