The Cal Mentorship Program, in partnership with Edge on College, provides an online tool where individuals may choose from a database of alumni mentors.

Value of Mentorship

Mentors help inform which in turn instills the confidence necessary to succeed. Mentors provide honest feedback, encouragement, and advice in order for mentees to gain perspective on their education and career. Mentors and mentees are able to share similar career, academic, cultural, and/or social interests.

To register:

A valid Berkeley.edu email address is required.

• If you have a Berkeley.edu email address, register here.
• To get a Berkeley.edu email address, you will need email forwarding. First register for a Calnet ID. Then click email forwarding from the @Cal menu and complete the email forwarding registration.
• Now you are ready to sign up with the Cal Mentorship Program.

Mentors:

• Provide career and academic guidance, as well as personal support.
• Encourage your mentee to be candid with you about what he/she hopes to gain from the experience.
• Work together with your mentee to set a schedule.
