As a spirited Cal alumnus, Kirk Tramble is excited to join the Board of Directors as someone who can help develop innovative strategies and programs for CAA that will enhance alumni connection and engagement, especially as they align with CAA’s 2018–2022 Strategic Plan. Kirk brings 25 years of corporate experience, information technology expertise, and project management skills to the board. He earned his B.S. in electrical engineering and computer science from Cal in 1993 and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business in General Management from Dartmouth.

In his professional life, Kirk has spent more than 25 years working at Chevron, Oracle, Microsoft, and Apple, gaining extensive industry experience in information technology and its many applications. He currently works as a customer success manager at Oracle. Kirk also has prior experience as a nonprofit Board member, serving on the Board of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Silicon Valley (DAASV).

Kirk is passionate about sharing Cal’s many resources and events with other alumni. Kirk served as co-leader of the 2018 UC Berkeley Celebration of Diversity in Engineering: 50-year BESSA (Black Engineering and Science Student Association) Anniversary and 30-year BGESS (Black Graduate Engineering and Science Students) Anniversary.

An avid participant in many Cal and CAA experiences, Kirk served as a panelist on the “Why Cal? The Alumni Perspective” panel at Cal Day 2017. For Kirk, the Cal community is also a family experience. His son, Gabriel, represents the third generation of Cal alumni in the family.
