Student Assistant, Development

The Cal Alumni Association (CAA) is looking for a student with exceptional attention to detail and computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps to provide administrative support to Development department and staff.

  • Download, analyze and prepare data for acknowledgement letters recognizing donations to CAA; select appropriate letter template, print and mail letters

  • Assist with merging, printing, stuffing and assembly of various mailings

  • Work with fundraising team  to reconcile gift transactions to University database and update internal records

  • Data entry, filing and shredding

  • Spreadsheet preparation using MS Excel and/or Google Spreadsheets

  • Support CAA sponsored events

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications: 
  • Excellent knowledge of Word and Excel, including mail merge functions

  • Good communication skills

  • Detail oriented

  • Self-motivated

Must submit to and pass Consumer and Motor Vehicle reports, and FBI/DOJ fingerprint background investigations. Must possess valid CA driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications: 

Knowledge of CADS

Salary and Benefits: 
$14.50 per hour, part-time, 6-10 hours weekly (Mon.-Fri., between 9-5 pm)
