On March 8, we celebrate the cultural, scientific, economic, and political strides women have made. It is important to recognize the work of women not only in their remarkable contributions to society, but also in breaking barriers for future generations of women to be able to do the same. In the slideshow above, we see just a few UC Berkeley alumnae that have made an incredible mark in the world through their hard work. From Nobel Prize recipients to Forbes‘ 30 under 30 list, these women have have been recognized in a variety of fields, but all share the same alma mater.
