Marilynn Handelman wrote to say “Class of ’47 seems to be missing in California magazine. How many others from Class of 47 are enjoying a long and viable life? At age 96 I am enjoying my 3 children, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren while still having fun in the Laguna Woods Senior community. I have been a Life Member since 1947.”

Virginia Zachery
Virginia Zachery, B.A. ’53, M.A. ’55, married George Erikson Miller from Atlanta, Georgia in 1955 and together they raised six children in Hillsborough, California. Widowed in 2005, Virginia moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, where she lives independently. She currently has 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is an acrylic artist and poet.
