Cal Performances New Season

April 26, 2013

On Tuesday, our friends over at Cal Performances unveiled the schedule for their 2013-24 season. Since then, we’ve been pouring over the brochure, looking at pictures and trying to decide what we’re most excited about.

There’s the hard-to-resist Brandenburg Concertos performed by Cleveland-based ensemble Apollo’s Fire, but then the Nederlands Dans Theater catches our eye. And while we’re thinking about dance, there are two flamenco performances this year! And a mariachi group! And jazz! [Image of Bay Area jazz great Marcus Shelby via MarcusShelby.com]

But hey, look at this! Movie star John Malkovich? A live staging of a sci fi radio show? We just can’t decide.

The now-traditional Fall Free for All will kick things off in September, so at least you have time to decide. Let us know when you do, and maybe we’ll see you there!
