Second Cities is a book of poems that takes a sideways glance at the world. “Second City” refers to Chicago, but also to all of the second and third and fourth cities of every country. If you never leave the main city, or the main tourist sites, you never really see a country or experience a culture. So it’s time to move around a little more. To go deeper. To close your eyes and open them somewhere else.
