Michelle Ott’s book Outer Space is Closer Than Antarctica has hit bookstores! Published by Chronicle Books Ott’s illustrated memoir describes life, love, and the science she learned after the four summer seasons she spent working at Antarctica’s largest research base, McMurdo Station. Michelle learned that outer space is in fact closer than Antarctica while attending an artists talk at UC Berkeley in 2016, and has been developing, writing, and drawing this book ever since.
