Q and A with Scott Fujita

May 9, 2011

Former Golden Bear Scott Fujita, now with the Cleveland Browns, was on campus Wednesday for a panel discussion organized by the UC Berkeley Labor Center. The discussion revolved around collective bargaining and anti-trust issues as they pertain to the world of professional sports, especially the current NFL lockout.

CALIFORNIA Magazine sat down to talk with him before the event. Among other things, Fujita said the current labor dispute is really more of a beet between owners and owners than a dispute between owners and players. He also explained why, in his personal opinion, the NFL draft is “lame,” and said if he had a son, there’s “no way in hell” he’d let him play football. Read the interview here.
