Star Party Weekend with Alex Filippenko

March 22 – 24, 2024

Alex Filippenko

This is the perfect weekend for astronomy fans and those interested in learning. Alex Filippenko and his family will be joining us for a weekend of exploring and enjoying our bright nighttime skies together. On Saturday night, Alex will lead a “Star Party” with his high powered telescope on the Camp Gold softball field, where we’ll hope for clear skies to see the Milky Way and beyond.

Alex is one of the world’s most highly cited astronomers, and an elected member of the National Academy of Sciences. He’s not only an extremely popular UC Professor, but also our most popular guest speaker during family camp each summer. Learn about the next upcoming solar eclipse that will occur just a few weeks after the Star Party Weekend.

JUST A FEW SPOTS LEFT! To learn more or book, send us an email at lair@alumni.berkeley.edu or leave us a voicemail at 510.900.8255.

Rate is $1,450 all-inclusive.
