Nominated by a student, Latina visual art high school teacher Susana Fattorini received a Public Service Award from Los Angeles County Supervisor Holly J. Mitchell in 2022 during Hispanic Heritage Month, for writing the class Art & Culture, which recognizes and celebrates diverse and living artists in the curriculum, as well as a focus on exploration and expression of self identity, and of visual art as a tool for social justice. Inspired by the framework of Ethnic Studies, the class was A-G approved by the University of California for the “F” art requirement.
Elizabeth Moore is the new Chief Communications Officer at UC Hastings as of February 1, 2022. She previously worked as the Director of Communications for Rutgers Law School in Newark, New Jersey.
