Anh Tran ’06, M.A.

As senior director, Anh oversees program administration and development. She received The Leadership Award from the Cal Alumni Association (CAA) as a Cal student and is delighted to give back to the Cal community. Anh has more than 15 years of experience in volunteer and program management, education, community building, and leadership development. Anh has directed programs to serve thousands of nonprofits, including heading a national AmeriCorps project to build the capacity of local community-based organizations. She has served on numerous boards of directors and is currently the CFO of CAA’s Prytanean Alumnae chapter and board member for Bay Nature Magazine.
Anh graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.A. in economics and mass communications and a minor in education and received her Master’s in public administration from USC. She is currently a doctoral student in organizational change and leadership at USC. At Cal, she was involved with the REACH! Asian & Pacific Islander Recruitment and Retention Center, UC Berkeley Public Service Center, Cal Student Leadership Symposium, and Prytanean Women’s Honor Society.
Danielle Kihara

As Senior Program Manager, Danielle is responsible for leading the development and implementation of fundraising strategies to support the annual fund. She also manages The CAA Fund Society and its stewardship efforts.
Danielle attended UC Irvine and received a B.S. in business economics. Her previous work includes grantmaking and fundraising. Danielle joined the CAA development team in 2019 and is very excited to be working in the Bay Area, where she grew up.

Sierra Abasolo ’19
Program Manager, Donor Stewardship and Gift Processing

Sierra is responsible for designing, implementing, and coordinating a comprehensive donor relations and stewardship system that appropriately and consistently stewards donors at all levels. She also manages and oversees the donor acknowledgement and recognition program for all donations made to CAA. She joined the development team in March of 2020 and is very passionate about continuing CAA’s mission to connect all alumni and students to the university.
Sierra is a Bay Area native and a first-generation college graduate. She graduated from UC Berkeley in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in history and an emphasis on 20th-century women’s history. As a Cal student, she was very involved with the UC Rally Committee, serving as its Executive Director of Communications, a role in which she oversaw alumni communications, organized meetings, and planned events. She also held an internship at the Museum of Vertebrates and Zoology as an archive assistant. In 2018, she was a Golden Bear Orientation leader for incoming transfers and enjoyed sharing her love of Berkeley with the new students.
