 Darryl Won ’87 | San Francisco, CA
AVP, Regional Chief Appraiser
Valuation Advice and Risk Management & Mitigation
Credit Strategies & Controls – Collateral Valuation Services

As Chairperson, Darryl leads the Bank of America Cal Corporate Alumni Committee and is honored to serve among other high-functioning Cal Alumni. Darryl joined Bank of America in 2005 and currently serves as a Vice President and Regional Chief engaged in Valuation Advice and Risk Management & Mitigation in the Credit Strategies and Controls group. He is also a California-state board-certified in real estate appraisal. In his 10+ years with the bank, Darryl has served in a variety of managerial roles; both project and personnel-oriented. Darryl currently serves the bank as a voting member of various executive escalation committees and government reporting councils. He has also co-authored training materials for sector-specific bank professionals and is a subject matter expert in a variety of valuation concerns.

Prior to a career in banking, Darryl spent 18+ years engaged in a wide range of professions. To name a few, he was employed by multi-national manufacturer Ford Motor Company as a Regional Manager; by affiliated web entities CBS Sportsline and MVP concurrently as Operations Manager and Director & VP Finance; by GCT as Co-Founder and VP Operations & Finance engaged in golf commerce; and by NYC Manhattan-headquartered management consulting firm Mitchell Madison Group as a Management Consultant. He once held a license as a Registered Representative with the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD).

Darryl earned his degree in Economics from UC Berkeley. He supports the Cal Alumni Association as a “Golden Bear”-level Life Member and via active engagement in a variety of volunteer events including The Berkeley Network, Scholarship Selection, and Student Recruitment. Darryl mentors degree candidates via the Cal Career Connection and advises prospective students as a College Fair Cal Alumni Ambassador.

 

Michael Didovic ’93 | New York, NY
Managing Director, Compliance and Supervision Technology Executive

Michael is responsible for developing and maintaining applications for use by the Compliance and Supervision teams. He joined Bank of America in 2010 as the Global Head of Disclosure Reporting in Compliance and migrated to his current role in 2014. Prior to joining the bank, Mike worked in Compliance at UBS in London and then Stamford Connecticut. Previous to UBS, he served as a Compliance and Operations Consultant for Financial Industry Technical Services, Inc. working with Fortune 500 Financial Services companies.

Prior to joining the company, Mike worked in Compliance at UBS in London and then Stamford Connecticut. Previous to UBS, he served as a Compliance and Operations Consultant for Financial Industry Technical Services, Inc working with Fortune 500 Financial Services companies.

Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from the University of California at Berkeley, and a Master of Business Administration degree from George Washington University. He currently resides in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY with his wife and two children. He is active in Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s internship program for Global Technology and Operations and enjoys spending time with his family and their menagerie of pets, as well as the occasional game of chess.

 

Art Beliak ’01, MBA ’10 | San Francisco, CA
Senior Vice President (Relationship Manager)
Community Development Lending

At Bank of America, Ari develops meaningful advisory relationships with affordable housing developers and provides them with debt and equity solutions, as wells as other bank services. Ari has an extensive background in affordable housing, real estate finance, and law. Prior to joining the Bank, he practiced law for Sidley Austin LLP, served in various real estate finance capacities for Wells Fargo Bank, including their affordable housing group, and was a management consultant for A.T. Kearney. Beliak is committed to the economic development industry having consulted for and served on CDFI boards and real estate advisory committees.

Ari received his BA and MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, and his JD from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. In 2016, he was named top 40 under 40 in the San Francisco Business Times.

 

Andrew Lee ’90 | Beverly Hills, CA
Senior Vice President – Wealth Management

Andrew brings broad experience and a unique perspective to helping clients navigate the complexities of wealth management in today’s global economic environment. He has worked for major financial services organizations in Asia, Europe, and North America for over twenty years and understands the business, economic and regulatory environments in those regions. Combining his experience, expertise, and insights with the vast resources of Merrill Lynch, Andrew helps families, individual investors, and business owners develop, implement and manage customized financial and wealth management strategies.

Andrew began his financial services career with American Express in Los Angeles in 1991. As a Financial Advisor and Branch Manager, he helped both individual and institutional clients develop and implement customized financial solutions. In 2002, Andrew joined the management team of Samsung Life Insurance in Asia and led their efforts to transform their sales force and have representatives focus on personal financial planning and consulting services. He then moved to ING to create and launch the firm’s Corporate Pension & Wealth Management business in Asia.

Andrew graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in Economics. He trains with UCLA Masters Swimming Club, is an American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) All-Star Soccer Coach, and enjoys surfing and tennis. He lives in Westwood, California with his wife, Miren, and their son, Telmo. He is fluent in both Korean and Spanish.

 

Dennis Lee ’15 | Los Angeles, CA
Financial Center Operations Manager

Dennis has been with Bank of America since graduating from Cal in 2015 and is currently in charge of the daily operational activities in a financial center. He works with tellers, bankers, and various advisers to deliver exceptional customer experience and make customers’ financial lives better. Dennis completed a year-long leadership development program with Bank of America where he was trained in every aspect of retail banking, such as driving revenue, mitigating losses, and managing associates. Dennis started his role with the company in downtown San Francisco and has made contributions to over 25 financial centers in the city. He is now in the Greater Los Angeles area and is active within the Southern California Chapter of Asian Leadership Network (ALN) with Bank of America.

Dennis earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Economy with a minor in Public Policy from UC Berkeley. During his undergraduate career, Dennis served as the Chief Financial Officer for the Associated Students of the University of California (ASUC) for two years, where he secured major funding increases in grants and scholarships for the general student body. Dennis was also part of Alpha Phi Omega, National Co-ed Service Fraternity, where he served as the Pledge Class President and has logged over 250 hours of service to the community.

Dennis was born in Southern California and was raised in Hong Kong. He is fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese. In his spare time, Dennis enjoys traveling, eating, and watching Netflix and sitcoms like The Big Bang Theory.
