Senior Director of Development
Jennifer Mora | 510.900.8205

Jennifer Mora has been with the Cal Alumni Association (CAA) since 2007. She oversees fundraising efforts at CAA, including the strategic planning and execution of campaigns, donor events, and development communications efforts. Prior to joining CAA, Jennifer spent five years at Torme and Company as an Account Supervisor working with non-profit and consumer clients. She has more than 10 years of direct agency experience focused on developing and launching public relations campaigns for clients including United Way of the Bay Area, the Marin County Fair, and the City of Los Angeles’ Recycling Program. Jennifer began her career at Edelman Worldwide, working in the San Francisco and Los Angeles offices. In addition, she worked at the Los Angeles Conservation Corps where she was responsible for securing local and industry media placements, as well as planning special events and community beautification projects.

Jennifer received her B.A. in Chicana and Chicano Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles. She earned her Masters of Public Administration from Sonoma State University. She currently serves on the Council for Advancement and Support of Education District VII Board of Directors and is a dedicated volunteer in her community.

Development Associate
Rachel Cleary | 510.900.8206

Originally from New York, Rachel joined the Cal Alumni Association in August 2016. Most recently, she was Development Manager for Girls on the Run of Los Angeles. Previously, she was Assistant Director of Annual Giving at The New School in New York City, where she spent three years in annual fund and alumni relations positions. Rachel holds a B.A. in Political Science from Purchase College (SUNY) and earned her M.A. in International Affairs at The New School.

Development Officer
Robert Sproul ’69 | 510.900.8203

Robert Sproul received his B.A. in English from the University of California, Berkeley in 1969. He has a wealth of experience fundraising for nonprofits, and in particular has a longtime connection with the University, having spent the last five years here at Cal where he has consistently met and exceeded development goals. Since 2010, Robert has served as Berkeley Law’s Assistant Dean for Development and Alumni Relations, during which time he was responsible for finishing off the $125M Campaign for Boalt Hall, leading to a total of $132.5M raised at the conclusion of the campaign in December 2014. In the 2014–15 fiscal year post-campaign, Bob onboarded Dean Choudhry and together with the Alumni Center staff, they raised $20M in Dean Choudhry’s first year.

Gift Management and Stewardship Analyst
Lawrence Lawler | 510.900.8204

Lawrence Lawler joined CAA in April 2013. He has over 10 years of extensive experience in fundraising, gift and fund administration, event planning, donor stewardship and cultivation. Prior to joining CAA, he worked in development, alumni relations, and external relations at UC Berkeley in University Relations and the College of Environmental Design. He also held several positions at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL)—including collaborative efforts with bay area K–12 schools, historically black colleges and universities, minority institutions, and summer abroad programs with underrepresented students from Puerto Rico.

Lawrence studied Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at San Jose State University. He has been an advocate for education and philanthropy, and served as a mentor and leader for multiple education programs at UC and LBNL.

Annual Fund Coordinator
Aamirah Dastgir ’15 | 510.900.8207

Aamirah Dastgir received her B.A. in Media Studies from UC Berkeley in 2015. During her time at Berkeley, she was involved in KALX Radio, The Daily Cal, BCEC, and UC Berkeley’s Social Media Advisory Team. A proud Golden Bear, Aamirah always looks for ways to give back to her alma mater. As the Annual Fund Coordinator at CAA, her excitement is met with gratitude as she is able to coordinate fundraising efforts while staying connected to fellow alumni.

A bay area native, Aamirah is humbled to remain a part of such a wonderful and diverse community.
