Berkeley remains the No.1 public university in the world; closer to campus, Cal archivists chronicle the Disability Rights Movement’s rich history. From the world of pro sports, NFL head coach Ron Rivera ’83 supports Cal softball in a big way.

NFL head coach Ron Rivera ’83 and spouse Stephanie Rivera ’85 made a $500,000 gift to Cal softball. The gift will help improve Cal’s softball facilities at the current Levine-Fricke Softball Field, which when reopened will be named the Rivera Family Softball Field. | Sports Illustrated

Dedication of UC Berkeley archivists reveals the genesis of US disability rights movement.
