I write this after returning from Cal Discoveries Travel’s Grand Danube Passage trip.
A call to action in support of our alumni community.
In May of 2020, 17-year-old Darnella Frazier saw police activity and then saw a man in pain.
Our students and alumni are demonstrating their commitment to supporting the next generation of trailblazers in thoughtful and solution-oriented ways, in spite of the challenges they themselves face.
In late April, I had the privilege of traveling to Sacramento to discuss the inclusion of higher education in California’s state budget. I joined UC Berkeley leaders like Chancellor Carol Christ and UC Regent Jason Morimoto ’02 to meet with those working on the budget to advocate on behalf of students and their needs.
From the beautiful banks of the Potomac and the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, to the Pacific Coast’s beautiful Monterey Peninsula, the Cal alumni community continues to grow its ranks.
