Matt Wolf
Matt Wolf, in September 2023, marked 40 years as an American theater critic in London, during which time he has held long gigs as theater critic for Associated Press, Variety, the International Herald Tribune, and, ongoing, The New York Times. Matt does a monthly column for Broadway.com, the world’s largest theater-themed website, and was one of the founders of both Musicals Magazine, published monthly, and The Arts Desk, where he is theater editor. A regular voice on Monocle radio out of London, Matt teaches across the year for NYU/London and is on the faculty of the V&A Museum every autumn for their annual 8-week theater course. He has written three books either collaboratively or on his own, including one on Sam Mendes’ leadership at the Donmar, and in 2026, he will reach his 30th year working with Cal Discoveries in London.
