Learn about Sicily’s viniculture and history as we sip and savor our favorite wines from this beautiful region during a Happy Hour conversation with UC Berkeley Professor Alex Saragoza. If you have ever traveled with Alex and Jenny on a Cal Discoveries Travel program, then you know that your taste buds, as well as your mind, will be in for a real treat!

Please register by Thursday, December 10, 2020. The event itself is free of charge; registrants will receive an invitation to order a discounted wine tasting package from CAA partners Wine Access at a later date.

Speaker: Alex Saragoza is Professor Emeritus of the Department of Ethnic Studies at UC Berkeley. He initiated a course at UC Berkeley on the California wine industry from an international perspective. He was the academic lecturer for several of the wine tours for Cal Discoveries Travel, including Northern Spain and, more recently, Chile and Argentina. He is lecturing on the Taste of Sicily program in September 2021.
