Cal at Oakland Pride Parade & Festival 2019

Show Your Pride, Golden Bears!

Join the Cal Alumni Association (CAA) and show your pride at the annual Oakland Pride Parade and Festival on Sunday, September 8!

CAA is partnering with UC Berkeley’s Gender Equity Resource Center to lead a contingent of Cal alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends in the Oakland Pride Parade. Everyone from across the LGBTQ spectrum and our allies are welcome to join us.

Date: Sunday, September 8, 2019
Lineup Time: 9:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.
Marchers into Position: 10:45 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Parade Meeting Location:
NE Corner of the intersection of Clay and 14th Street (Look for the Cal signs)

Admission to the festival following the parade is $10 general ($5 for children under 12). It is free to march.

We loved seeing hundreds of friends from the Cal community turn out in Oakland last year—and the almost 1,000 friends who attended Cal at San Francisco Pride in June! This year, we’ll have more shirts in more sizes with a brand new design and other fun giveaways. We would also love to visit with you at our booth at the Festival at the conclusion of the parade.

There is no cost to march in the parade, and the first 200 marchers to register on Eventbrite and arrive at the meet-up location will receive a free commemorative Cal Pride t-shirt. Shirts are limited and will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.

We look forward to seeing you there! Details for the parade meet-up location will be posted on Eventbrite and Facebook.
