The Lair of the Golden Bear is truly a summer camp for all. Tucked in the Sierra Nevada, it’s a place where generations of families come together. It’s where friendships are forged. It’s where familiar faces are greeted alongside new ones. Our family camp sessions are open to everyone—no matter your age, interests, or outdoor experience—and we also offer specialty sessions designed for specific groups, like College Prep Camp and Women’s Wellness Weekend. We can’t wait to welcome you to the Lair!

Family Camp

During week-long summer camp sessions, we promise s’mores and a whole lot more! Our enthusiastic staff leads campers of all ages in fun activities, from creek walks and scavenger hunts to art projects and boating. Fill your days with hikes, pool time, and tie-dying or ceramics. Come dusk, evening entertainment includes campfire shows, guest speakers, talent shows, and more.

Winter Oski Cabin Stays

Enjoy a cozy cabin escape at the Lair this winter. Our warm and comfy winterized cabins sleep up to six, and we’ll keep you fueled with hearty meals throughout your stay. Bring family and friends for winter hikes, skiing, sledding, s’mores, and more!

Club Lair: Sports, Wine, and Recreation Retreat

Featuring professional tennis, pickleball, and golf instruction, hiking, photography instruction, mixers, dancing, evening entertainment, wine tastings, and plenty of relaxation, Club Lair is the perfect blend of programmed activity and freedom for active adults, all in our beautiful corner of the High Sierra. New in 2025, Club Lair is a blend of our former Sports and Rec week with our Food and Wine experience.

Bear Music Fest

Bear Music Fest is a family-friendly, immersive music experience with a unique and exciting combination of great bands and artists; small, comfortable performance spaces; the smell of the pines and starlit nights this getaway weekend will inspire real music fans and friends of the mountains alike.

In typical Lair style, this is an ALL INCLUSIVE weekend so your ticket includes the music plus all your meals, lodging and even some activities to keep your kids busy while you are enjoying the tunes.
