Cal Alumni Mentors
The Cal Alumni Association’s Cal Alumni Mentors program matches alumni with undergraduate students who are from first-generation, low-income, underrepresented, and/or underserved communities*. Through coaching and one-on-one mentorship, students develop the career and professional skills to can succeed at and after Cal.
*CAA has identified Black/African/African American, Chicanx/Latinx, Native American/Alaska Native, Southeast Asian, Pacific Islander, and LGBTQ+ as underrepresented and/or underserved groups on campus.
Student mentorship participants will:
- Be paired with alumni mentors with similar career interests and identities
- Connect with their mentors to learn from their Cal experiences and careers
- Attend workshops on topics including physical and mental well-being, campus resources, professional development, and networking
Mentors will:
- Share about their journeys from Cal to career
- Connect with and learn from current Cal students and their experiences
- Develop skills as a mentor through trainings and resources
The Cal Alumni Mentors program is hosted on the Berkeley Career Network, an online platform that allows students to access and expand their Cal network.
