About the Cal Alumni Association 
The Cal Alumni Association (CAA) provides all Cal graduates with rewarding connections to the University, to fellow alumni, and to current students. Founded by the original graduates of the University of California in 1872, the Cal Alumni Association today represents nearly half a million alumni living throughout the world. With a mission of advancing and promoting the interests of the University, CAA is committed to providing essential programs and services designed to keep alumni of all ages and interests connected to the University and to each other. Our mission is to advance and promote the interests of the University of California, Berkeley by connecting alumni with each other and our alma mater. Together with our campus partners, we play an integral role in informing, engaging, and inspiring alumni to support the University by:

  1. Participating and volunteering in University programs and events
  2. Acting as ambassadors and advocates on behalf of the University
  3. Giving to the University

Our vision is to be UC Berkeley’s primary campus-wide alumni relations organization responsible for building and engaging a broad alumni community that supports the University. Together, as a globally connected network of Cal alumni, we keep Cal golden.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and self-funded organization, CAA relies on alumni support to operate its programs and provide scholarships to Cal students. NOTICE: CAA Board Approves 2015-2019 Directors
At its April 17, 2015 meeting, the CAA Board of Directors approved the nomination of Alexandra Morales to serve a one-year term, beginning July 1, 2015, and ending June 30, 2016, as Student Director. The CAA Board of Directors also approved the following Slate of Directors, as recommended by the Nominating Committee, to serve a four-year term, beginning July 1, 2015, and ending June 30, 2019.

Any group of one hundred (100) Members of the California Alumni Association in good standing may, by written petition, nominate a full or partial ticket if said written petition is filed with the Secretary-Treasurer of the California Alumni Association within thirty (30) days after the published report of the Nominating Committee appears. If no such petition has been filed with the Secretary-Treasurer within said period of thirty (30) days, then the nominees of the Nominating Committee as approved by the Board shall be declared duly elected. If such petition is so filed, then an election by written ballot shall be held for the contested position or positions. The Nominating Committee names shall be headed ‘Nominated by Nominating Committee of California Alumni Association’ and those nominated by petition by the words ‘Nominated by written petition.
