The UC Berkeley Foundation provides fiduciary services to the Cal Alumni Association. Checks may be made payable to “Cal Alumni Association” and should be mailed to UC Berkeley Foundation-Gift Services for processing. Please include the name of the fund you wish to support in the memo line of your check.

If you wish to donate to a specifically-endowed TAAP or Leadership Award scholarship, please give by mail or by phone. Please include the name of the fund and the fund number. If needed, email [email protected] for clarification on fund names/numbers.

Gift Planning

Your planned gift to the Cal Alumni Association establishes your legacy at Cal while ensuring the continued growth of our alumni association and alma mater. Planned gifts offer creative ways to simultaneously achieve your philanthropic, financial, estate, and tax planning goals. There are many vehicles through which your assets can be given, including charitable gift annuities, donor-advised funds, IRA charitable rollover, living trusts, and more. Donor Advised Fund (DAF)

Please visit your DAF’s website to submit your gift recommendation. If you see a selection of UC Berkeley options listed on your DAF’s site:

• Search for “UC Berkeley Foundation” or the EIN 94-6090626.
• You may see multiple listings for the UC Berkeley Foundation, which provides fiduciary services to the Cal Alumni Association. If you don’t see an option specifically labeled “Cal Alumni Association,” your gift can still be directed as intended. Simply use the text field on your DAF’s grant recommendation form to indicate “Cal Alumni Association Fund” or the specific CAA fund you wish to support.

Here is some additional key information you’ll need to provide:

• The amount of your gift
• The name of the particular Cal Alumni Association Fund you’d like to support (please be as specific as possible)
• Checks may be made payable to the “Cal Alumni Association” and mailed to the address below:

TAAP Diversity Scholarship

All TAAP Diversity Scholarship funding is directly administered by CAA. This program supports low-income, underrepresented minority students. To give to TAAP Diversity Scholarship print the online donation form. Ensure your check is made payable to “Cal Alumni Association” and add “TAAP Diversity Scholarship” or “TAAP DS” in the memo line of the check. Have your contribution mailed to:
