Opening on October 18 and running through October 24, 2024, the Lair of the Golden Bear’s virtual auction offers a wide variety of exciting items, including a rare first-year lunch with UC Berkeley’s very own Chancellor Rich Lyons! Auction items include one-of-a-kind Cal Athletics team experiences and memorabilia, vacation getaways, camp artwork, and so much more.
Proceeds from the auction will be used to upgrade the lighting and sound systems in all three camps.

Lunch for Two with Chancellor Lyons
Enjoy a rare opportunity to lunch with Chancellor Rich Lyons at the Berkeley Faculty Club! Rich Lyons ’82, Ph.D. began his term in July of this year, becoming the first undergraduate alum to serve as Chancellor. After earning his Ph.D. in economics from MIT, Lyons worked for six years at Columbia University before joining the UC Berkeley faculty in 1993. In addition to two terms as Dean of Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, Lyons most recently held the campus leadership position of Chief Innovation and Entrepreneurship Officer for the #1 university in the world for startup founders.

Own a soccer ball and cleat signed by Cal alum and US Women’s team star Alex Morgan ’14. Alex was co-captain of the US National Soccer Team from 2018–2020 along with Carli Lloyd and Megan Rapinoe. She was later recruited as a striker (#13) for the National Women’s Soccer League Club San Diego Wave FC. Having announced her retirement as of September 2024, Alex has left an indelible mark on women’s soccer and is a role model for young soccer players worldwide.

Misty May-Treanor is a retired professional beach volleyball player and three-time Olympic gold medalist for Team USA. As of August 2021, she was the most successful female volleyball player, having won 112 domestic and international competitions.
