Hans Giesecke
With wide-ranging higher education experience spanning four decades, Hans Giesecke has led four non-profit educational organizations both in the USA and abroad. His last role was at University of California Berkeley where he served as Executive Director of International House for eight years. His service in various international environments has underscored the critical role that personal responsiveness plays in organizational performance.
His passion for service in higher education has led him to bring that same focus to his lectures for Cal Discoveries. Hans endeavors to assist trip participants in seeing the world through new eyes as they explore new places and revisit others that have special meaning due to their locations and the memories associated with them.
