Lisa Lum

Lisa grew up in San Francisco and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Studies from UC Berkeley in 1999. Following her love of travel, she spent a year with the Associate Kyoto Program at Doshisha University in Japan. She then spent the next 14 years in Asia, most recently working for the renowned Peninsula Hotels Group in Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Paris. She was responsible for the operational development and planning of The Hong Kong and Shanghai Hotels, Ltd., which included expanding the group’s portfolio of Peninsula hotels in Asia, the United States, and Europe, and opening The Peninsula Shanghai and The Peninsula Paris, both part of The Peninsula Hotels Group.

Lisa’s professional journey reflects her passion for both technology and real estate. She is currently a Realtor® at Coldwell Banker Realty and the founder of Friends of the Metaverse. Previously, she served as executive director at the Asia America MultiTechnology Association (AAMA), driving the association’s efforts to accelerate ideas and best-in-class collaboration with high-tech venture capitalists, successful entrepreneurs, and up-and-coming innovators in Silicon Valley.

A lifelong learner with a love for Berkeley, Lisa completed the Venture Capital Executive Program at Haas School of Business. She serves as an advisor at Berkeley Skydeck and held various leadership roles in the Berkeley Club of Hong Kong from 2007–2015.
