Professor Stephen Small, Ph.D.
Stephen Small is a professor in the Department of African Diaspora Studies at the University of California, Berkeley, where he has taught courses on the African diaspora since 1995. He earned his Ph.D. in Sociology at the University of California, Berkeley (1989); his M.Sc. in Social Sciences from the University of Bristol (1983); and his B.A. (honours) in Economics and Sociology from the University of Kent at Canterbury (1979).
