Born in Mexico, Keyla immigrated to the U.S. at the age of four. For her undergraduate education, she is pursuing a political science degree. She plans to attend law school in the future and serve her underrepresented community in the field of law with her bilingual abilities.

Jeffrey Bui is a queer Bay Area local who is passionate about social justice, DEIA (diversity, equity, inclusion, access), and volunteering. Jeffrey will be a first-generation transfer student at UC Berkeley and is excited to learn more about social research and community advocacy.

James Koutsoukos, a passionate father and student, founded Fentanyl Anonymous to support addiction recovery. He established the Medical Privacy Association to help individuals with misused confidential records. From facing his own challenges, he’s driven to excel academically and positively impact society. James plans to attend law school, specializing in human rights and cyber law.

Enrique Martinez is a first-generation college student and incoming freshman. As an aspiring neurosurgeon, he is majoring in molecular and cellular biology. Throughout Enrique’s life, his experiences, like being a Stanford Medicine Research Intern, have instilled a passion to pursue medicine and promote a healthy community.

TJ McGee is from San Jose, and is a first-generation college student. TJ was once homeless after the death of their grandmother and, due to the absence of all immediate family, they were left to sustain themselves. TJ hopes to major in psychology and social welfare.

Sabine is a first generation Mexican American student from Richmond, CA. Growing up in a marginalized, low-income community, she strives to inspire others to defeat society’s stereotypes and barriers against their community. Sabine is driven to someday become a pediatrician and serve as representation in the medical field for Hispanics.

Raymond Tam is a transfer student joining UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. As student government president at Ohlone College, he was highly involved with the campus community, fostering a deep passion for service and student advocacy. At Cal, Raymond intends to continue providing mentorship for prospective transfer students.
