Marc Singer

As the first person in his extended family to attend college, Marc Singer is a grateful graduate of UC Berkeley. Upon graduation, Marc got his professional start with Deloitte as an accountant and became a CPA. After getting his MBA in 1992, Marc joined McKinsey, a management consulting firm, where he is a Senior Partner and serves clients in multiple industries, with an emphasis on technology-enabled/digital marketing and sales topics, as well as overall organizational effectiveness and performance improvement. He is the author of multiple articles in the Harvard Business Review, McKinsey Quarterly, and other publications, as well as co-author of the book Net Worth: Shaping Markets When Customers Make the Rules.

Over the years, Marc has led volunteer efforts for several units around campus, co-chaired multiple class reunion campaigns, led recruiting efforts to hire Cal grads at both Deloitte and McKinsey, and coached student teams in the Haas School’s Social Sector Solutions class. He currently serves on the Haas School’s Advisory Board. Marc has also served on the board of Junior Achievement of Northern California for more than two decades and is co-chair of its Governance Committee.

Marc and his wife, a Cal alumna, live in the Oakland hills.
