Morris Budak

As an esthetic and restorative dentist, Morris “Mo” Budak provided the Silicon Valley with world-class dentistry for more than 44 years. A graduate of UC Berkeley with an B.A. in biological field studies, Dr. Budak was a member of the Oski Committee during all four of his undergraduate years, including serving as its president in 1969.

Budak earned his D.D.S. from the UCLA School of Dentistry, and is currently co-chair of the UCLA Dental School’s Northern California Alumni Association (The Apollonian Society), which provides mentorship, programming, and community to dental students. His career is dotted with many awards and he has regularly volunteered for organizations that provide needed dentistry to underserved populations, including California’s CDA Cares, DVI Dental Volunteers for Israel, and San Francisco’s former Mount Zion Dental Clinic.

Dr. Budak led The Northern California Academy of Dental Research as its president for ten years. He has also served two terms on the Serra Park Health Center’s Board of Directors. Dr. Budak has given lectures to his Bay Area colleagues and is a member of professional organizations including the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the Santa Clara County constituent, as well as the Peninsula Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, Silicon Valley Dental Study Club, and the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity. Dr. Budak is married to Renee Levie Budak (‘72) and lives in Palo Alto, where he proudly cheers on his beloved Golden Bears despite living blocks away from Stanford University.
